Quick Paws-t... every one counts!

I'm writing this post or as Slippers calls them "pawsts," before officially going all-out public.  I've decided to return to running and Slippers has a lot to do with it besides being my #1 Coach.  I've completed 2 Half Marathons with Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA)Team Challenge for personal reasons and now would like to run for those without a voice... the cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, and pets of America that suffer or need our help to live quality lives.

I selected Slippers as my Coach, not because she's my cat, but because she reminds me that I should wake up every morning... even though it's 4 or 430am... and be thankful and happy we have a warm & safe place to live.  Not everyone (including those cats, dogs, hamsters, and pets of America) does.

This morning, I woke up and chose to run instead of bike to work... that is run before going to work.  I'm going to gradually increase my running distance and endurance so I'm ready for July 22, 2012 to run those 13.1 miles in Chicago.  Cheer me on as I take this journey... let's not let Slippers or those cats, dogs, hamsters, and pets of America.  Let's help ASPCA give them their voice to be heard.
